First introduced in the late 2000s by beauty YouTubers like Lisa Eldridge, who also happens to be our Global Creative Director of Lancôme Makeup, the no-makeup makeup look was on the rise with celebrities embracing the trend and wearing minimal makeup looks on the red carpet. By the 2010s, glam makeup looks, and heavy-handed makeup techniques dominated our social feeds – now referred to as “2016 makeup.”But for every extreme, a counter-response is sure to follow, and it was the perfect time for the no-makeup makeup trend to take hold of the algorithm. Contrary to 2016 makeup, no makeup makeup looks are relatively easy to achieve with a few helpful techniques, use minimal makeup, and focus on highlighting your natural features. 第 2 步：Perfect & Highlight the Complexion with Concealer
Grab your favorite hydrating concealer to perfect areas of discoloration or redness and blemishes, and to brighten the under-eye area. Blend with a fluffy brush for a natural result and use a flat brush for precision and fuller coverage. “A flat brush helps to create maximum coverage where you need the most coverage. Whether it is a foundation flat brush or a concealer flat brush.” says Jasmine Ferreira, Lancôme’s National Makeup Director. In terms of application technique, she says, “A foundation flat brush on its side also helps to create precise contour cuts for a sculpted complexion. And a flat concealer brush on its side helps to create a lifted, snatched look on outer-eye corners.”

第 3 步：Create Fluffy, Natural Brows
For a natural, fluffy brow, brush on Cils Booster XL primer to help volumize and laminate brows into place for a fuller look. Next, take your choice of a brow pencil or powder and add hair-like strokes to fluff and perfect your brow shape.

Take your lip color and apply it directly onto the cheeks for ease, or warm it on the back of your hand first before applying. Blend with a brush or your fingers, whichever you prefer. You can use a different lip color on the lips if you’d like – there are no wrong answers here – although you may like the harmonious effect of using the same shade.
